Covertube: Toto’s “Africa” performed by Perpetuum Jazzile
Continuing the long line of YouTube covers that work so much better visually than played in the show: This is awesome. From the fine folks at Buzzfeed.
What’s absolutely brilliant about this, is the opening, which features an (almost) all a cappella rainstorm.

You're right. It's a fascinating performance when you can see it, but it wouldn't translate as well to audio-only. That a cappella rainstorm is awesome!
Are you familiar with the Indiana University group, "Straigh No Chaser." They, too, have a fascinating version of the same song, beginning with "The Twelve Days of Christmas." This is not a review — they're both outstanding. This one is new to me and it will go into my Keepers!
One of my favourite records and another excellent version of it!
amazing

It's raining in Albany, NY presently, and now I know how.
Great stuff.
