(Note: For those of you who receive the AAC version, you’ll notice that chapters aren’t appearing in the show. This is because of an issue with Apple’s 10.6 OS and the current version of GarageBand. As soon as the problem is fixed, I’ll rerelease the AAC versions of any episode that didn’t contain chapters)

Thanks, BTW, Chapel of Love was originally by the Dixie Cups.
Brian — I'm not sure you're aware of how often you use the word "unmistakable." It's a bit distracting.
Wow, I'm definitely not aware of that! Just saying that will now trigger a filter in my head to use a different adjective next time I'm tempted to use it.
Either that, or it'll be a new drinking game for listeners.
Not a bad idea. Scratch my last comment. My buddy Jim Beam and I are looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks a lot for the Ellie Greenwich cover story; her cover was my favorite song on the show! I suspect that you might have done it on your own eventually, but hey, I get a mention on the podcast, so I'm good with that.
BTW, Ellie's ex-husband was Jeff Berry, not John, and she did write songs without him, such as The Boy I'm Going To Marry. .
Brian…I really enjoyed the show! Ellie was a friend of mine and sure she would've loved it too. I never heard any of the tracks before, but I want to hear Katrina and the waves "River Deep, Mountain High" and "Do Wah Diddy" by Murray Lachlin Young again. I loved Ellie's own version of "Be My Baby"! I'd love to hear more.
Thanks again for your comment on my own tribute to Ellie http://artiewayne.wordpress.com/2009/08/28/ellie-…
Brian,
This is the second episode without chapter marks in the AAC version. I redownloaded it to make sure I didn’t have a corrupt copy. Both copies did not have chapter marks.
The Donnas version was awesome! Looking forward to Laverne and Shirley.
Wow, to have written one of those classic songs would be an achievement, but all of them is fantastic. Never heard of this lady before, but I'm glad I have now – thanks Brian.
Was it just me or did anyone else think instantly of William Shatner's "Common People" when "Then he kissed me" was playing?!
Thanks, Brian for a wonderful show. For some reason hearing of her death effected me more than losing most of our pop icons. I suppose she reminds me of innocence. The documentary "Girl Groups" from the 80s has a lot of interview time with Ellie Greenwich and she sounds so sensible and fun. (That documentary is also notable for a cascade of clips of people trying to avoid admitting that Phil Spector was completetly mad.)
