I thought that the Pet Sounds show couldn't be bettered. I was wrong! Fantastic show, loved all the songs. javascript:%20postComment(0);
Thanks for the shout out – the Mojo magazine has some great interviews too. Interestingly it was confirmed that John Lennon pushed for the sides to be reversed, with "I want You (she's so heavy)" being the final track. I think it would have been a different experience completely as an album and I'm glad that McCartney won this battle.
Now if only my copy of Rock Band: The Beatles would turn up, my Beatles week would be complete!
Ok…I have to admit, I was never a big Beatles fan. I appreciated their place in the music pantheon, but their music never really moved me. Well that changed the first time I listened to this Cover Story. Brilliant choices for covers that also gave me a new appreciation for the original. I am thinking Abbey Road is at the top of my next music shopping list. I'm going to have to go find this on vinyl as well.
Brilliant episode, Brian. 609 episodes, and this could be argued as the best.
Thank you very much for fixing the chapter marks in the AAC versions.

Note it's six-oh-NINE. We know about Revolution #9, One after 909, and the 09-09-09 release of Rock Band and the box sets. Coincidence? I think NOT.
Great show, one of my favorite shows that you've done, and I started listening the first year.
I saved this one for the car so my 14/yo son could listen as well. "Here comes the sun" came on and he yelled out "I love this song!".
This podcast made my day!
Fantastic show Brian. How is the Thanksgiving show going to top this?
All the best!
Great show. I'm slowly getting caught up on them.
