A Cover Story for The Smiths, because it’s Morrissey’s 55th birthday, and mini-Cover Stories for Oasis and Stone Roses because they were influenced by The Smiths. And it all goes nicely together. (112 minutes)

as per my note on Coverville 1016, The Only One I know is NOT a Stone Roses cover. It was originally by the Charlatans, or Charlatans UK as you corrected it that time.
Sorry to keep on, but credit where credits due.
On the other hand, keep up the great work. An enjoyable set!
Oh crap – I can’t believe I did that again. I see that I have two copies of that song in my library, one attributed to the Roses and one attributed to the Charlatans UK. Fixing the erroneous track right now and updating the shownotes.
Anyone who loves Morrissey and the Smiths should check out Perreccy. He does Smiths covers in German on a ukelele… would have been great to hear him included in the Smiths cover episode. But overall, it was a great episode.
I don’t want to violate forum rules, but here’s a link to his version of There is a Light Which Never Goes Out…

Barbara Allen is actually from Colin Meloy sings Shirley Collins and it’s a traditional song not Morrissey, he did have a Morrissey ep too though

Enjoying the covers! But I agree with Ian on nixing “Barbara Allen” from the show.
