Alien Fashion Show also does a great cover of "Roxanne" that could maybe work its way into a Police cover story someday.
While not a huge KISS fan, this was one of my favorite shows on Coverville. Great Hayseed Dixie selection, you're spot on with the creepy factor. I was also very impressed with Maki Nomiya, I've never heard her before.
Brian, this was a fantastic show, one of the best ever. You are wrong, however, about the status of the solo albums. You are correct that Gene's was one of the most successful, and in fact charted the highest (#22 on billboard). The next highest was Ace's, though! Ace reached #26 and he also had the highest charting single, "New York Groove," which reached #13 on the Billboard chart. After Ace comes Paul (#40 Billboard album chart) followed by Peter. I don't mean to quibble, but I know you like to keep your facts straight, plus I have to make sure Ace gets the credit he deserves.
Great awesome show. I'm still hoping for a Rush cover show…
Thanks for the clarification. Maybe I had read that Gene's and Paul's were more critically acclaimed? In any case, props to Ace!
That Maki Nomiya seemed to be channeling some Olivia Newton-John.
