Celebrating the 25th anniversary of things is so passé. Let’s celebrate the 26th anniversary of Peter Gabriel’s album “So” presented with limited commercial interruption, and of course, as we do, using only cover versions for each of the songs. Well, except for one. (62 minutes)

This was fantastic, reminded me all over again what a great album this was. This is getting burned to CD, that’s how good this is.
Would you believe, I have not seen that John Cusack movie? Must try to correct that.
Thanks Brian.
Just a minor correction – I think I heard you say that ‘Big Beat Acapella’ was a compilation. In fact, that’s just the title of the ‘Schrödingers Cat’ disc.
My own acapella group back in college (Invisible Hands) did a cover of “In Your Eyes” as well, which included the extended intro. For a second I thought you might be preparing to play ours! 😀
I agree this was so good it reminded me what a remarkable album the original was. I came home straightaway on the Antelope and listened to Mr. Gabriel’s version.
What a real treat Brian – this was great and concur with the previous posters, again shows how brilliant So is. This album came out either late in my freshman or early sophomore year in college and it was on heavy heavy rotation in the dorm room. I remember putting much of the middle of this album over and over on my mix tapes. Thanks again!
My favourite album from my favourite artist.
Thanks “so” much, Brian.
Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this show, I enjoyed every song and it made me go looking in my collection the original. Great work.
I was a little slow getting to this episode, but enjoyed it immensely. Now I’m off to happily spend more money on covers.
Just listening now to IZZ covering Red Rain, and at first I thought I was listening to Hellecaster’s cover of Orange Blossom Special, but playing at half speed!
Anyway, thanks Brian for such a great podcast!
