I was thinking more of the live version Tina plays solo at her shows.

Elton John did those anonymously by the way, as Reg Dwight, just a session singer to pay the rent. It was only later they were re-released as "Elton John" albums.

What a great show.

Points of interest:
Were JJJ being provocative giving Liam Finn's band Betchadupa a song to sing that was written by Uncle Tim's nemesis in Split Enz, Phil Judd? (Great version of a great song though.)

The Crossing soundtrack that featured Crowded House doing She's Not There was put together by Martin Arminger of The Sports, and has lots of great covers – King of the Road (The Proclaimers), Nature Boy (Kate Ceberano), For Your Love (Peter Blakely), Here Comes that Feeling & Let's Dance (The Cockroaches – ie pre Wiggles), My Boyfriend's Back (The Chantoozies) and Steven Cummings (also of the Sports) doing Nowhere to Run. Unaccountably there was also a Tin Machine original but you can't have everything.

Altogether a super soundtrack for a low Budget Australian movie.

Woo hoo, number 1! Looking forward to hearing this, but, looking at the playlist, how did you leave out Tina Turner's version of "Proud Mary"? I think she owns it now! You have Elvis there, so I'll forgive you, because he owned it before Tina!!
