I’m sure I’ll get some comments that a couple of these tracks aren’t quite heavy metal. They’re heavier than what I usually play, OK?Here’s what’s on the show tonight:

There’s a bonus Musically Challenged in this show! Make sure to check out Lockjaw’s podcast, The Podcast Junkie!
I was listening to the show using the streaming on the right hand side, and then the mp3, and both stopped at around 18 minutes. Up until then the show was good, and I’m looking forward to the ramones cover story.
I thought that the mp3 went crazy about halfway through the ‘musically challenged’ segment…kind of giving a jittery/broken cd effect.
This show won’t show up on my iTunes. All other shows works fine, but not this.
Ditto on the 18:12 problem here…
I have the same “crazy halfway through Musically Challenged” problem.
The Beat’s version of “Save it for later” featured on the soundtrack to Kingpin, so it must be a good soundtrack song! Recommended soundtrack BTW.
The Beat were called the English Beat in the USA because there was already a group called The Beat. It’s the whole Yazoo thing again:-)
Ha! When i posted earlier re: the “Kingpin” soundtrack I had not heard the musically challenged – another Kingpin connection! – Blues Traveler featured on the soundtrack too with “But anyway”, and I think it is the band that plays on the film at the Amish barn raising party.
My audio went screwy too!
Ditto on the sound problems in musically challenged. Interestingly, I originally thought that it was a cutesy ‘effect’ since it was related to the challenge, but then it got annoying and I had to skip the rest of the episode.
Nope – it was an unplanned audio glitch, and we never even noticed it. Sadly, there’s no way to ressurect the recording, as the AIFF is gone as soon as I make the mp3.
Consider this one of the lost episodes that we’ll unearth in 50 years!
