This a great cover for one of the best bands of the 80’s. thanks.
the only cover story that matters 🙂
That chumbawamba cover was surprisingly good, and I’ll definitely be picking that up on emusic.
Two living colour covers showing up on covers stories in a row! maybe next there will be an ac/dc cover story with their version of back in black?
Chumbawamba? Wow. From Tubthumping to this!
Thanks for Annie Lennox too. As you say, Medusa is a great covers CD. A Whiter Shade of Pale is a stand out track.
Interestingly, I read recently that Train in Vain was not listed on the album “London Calling” and was a secret track or was added too late to print it or the lyrics (when we received albums with lyric inserts…). Not sure about the USA version.
Something seems to be amiss with the iTunes version – it’s only 8 minutes long.
My iTunes version was only 8 minutes long as well.
Same here 8 minutes long 🙁
Too bad you didn’t have Emm Gryner’s haunting piano-vocals version of “Straight to Hell,” with its sad and topical lyrics of the “Amerasian blues”…
We need a repost. Eight minutes seems a little short for the Clash.
On the 8 minute thing, the problem seems to the feed. I have 2 coverville feeds, one added recently because of slow appearances on i-tunes and the original one. To be truthful, I can’t work out which is the quick one now, so leave both!
Anyway, i THINK, the more recent feed is 31.37 minutes and yes, my other version is 8.08 minutes. I’ve listened to the full show, and it does exist!
Brian has been out of town, so might not have been able to fix this.
who else covered train in vain?
