You missed Dylan’s “Country Pie”
Oh my gosh Brian, I haven’t even listened to this show yet and I am loving it already! As soon as I saw you were playing the Final Fantasy cover of “Peach Plum Pear” I think I actually squealed. I saw him perform live last month and it was amazing both acoustically and visually!
By the way I was listening to CBC radio two and recognized a Beatles cover by the Smithereens that I first heard on your show! Thanks for introducing me to so much great music.
And before anyone mentions it, I didn’t include a cover of the Beatles’ “Wild Honey Pie”, simply because I didn’t have a copy that I liked and haven’t played recently on the show.
Should be a popular show – I see it’s already available on KeyLimeWire.

Madonna’s version of “American Pie” qualifies but is an appalling travesty against recorded music and the good name of Don McLean in my opinion!
And you might want to consider in future the old Sinatra classic “Pie me to the moon”….er…ok…I see 🙂
Here’s what Google threw up. Very sad!

the only thing that would have made this show better was if it had been released on 3/14. but I should not complain. great show, yet again, Brian.
Regarding the AAC feed, I like the new way that you have broken up the chapters in this show. Even though that most times I would skip the commentary for songs that I skipped, it’s nice to have the option of listening to it. It’s just another click to skip it. It would also make it easy to skip back to a commentary section that you wanted to hear again.
Hey Brian,
The new chapter markings in the AAC feed are fine by me. Honestly, I can’t imagine I’d ever use them since they don’t affect the way I listen. (I typically use the Chapters menu in iTunes for random access.) But hey, since someone asked for them, why the heck not? Go for it…

Hi Brian –
Love the show. Thank you for playing Brave Combo.

I LOVE MUSICALS, TOO, TINA! I must let my not-so-hidden musical theatre geek out for a second and correct you, Brian: You said that “We Go Together” from Grease was originally sung by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. However; the stage musical opened in 1972, before the movie (1978). So “We Go Together” would have been sung by the original Broadway cast before the movie cast! And now that that completely useless piece of information is out of the way…
Another great show! I especially enjoyed Whipped Cream.
Yummy !
We had a pi day celebration on March 14th (3.14.07) complete with egg pie (quiche), pot pies, and moon pies for dessert. Would have been great to have this show for the festivities!
I don’t need the extra chapter markings in the AAC feed but I do like ’em…I always listen right through once but often when I replay episodes being able to break up in all sorts of ways is very handy. Depends how much extra work it is for you though…if lots then don’t bother on my account.
