Geez, your a podcast recording machine this week brian!
Awesome show, Brian! Keep up the great work!
the Jared Campbell cover of Everlong stripped all of the beauty and emotion out of an incredible song and made it sound generic and contrived. This cover was a travesty.
I’m brand new to Coverville – it’s very good, but I can sometimes be a bit slow to listen to them. I’m commenting on this one as I was surprised at the lack of Foo Fighters’ cover of Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty from a compilation of EMI artists covering songs by other EMI artists. In the UK we know it as “Come Again”, but in the US, I believe it was released with the somewhat duller and more unwieldy title of “Essential Interpretations – Today’s Great Artists Perform Yesterday’s Classics”, which is a pretty good, if far from flawless, selection of cover versions (or cover songs, if you prefer).
It’s a good show, Brian. Really enjoying it!
