Brian
Thanks for that Martha Wainwright song, that was awesome. And yes, you should get Regina Spektor's album. I saw her at the Austin City limits Music Festival about 2 years ago and she was not only cool but super talented.
And for musically challenged, I gasped when you dared call Dwight Yoakim, George Strait. Might have to teach you the finer arts of that Bakersfield sound, it's a good sub-genre to know.
Hey Brian. Great show. Is it my impression or a you slowing down a bit in the production of episodes?, you're like leaving me with nothing to listen on my way to work. Just kidding. Keep up the good work.
I had always heard Ellen's last name pronounced mack’ ill wane when I heard her played on local radio, and our music guy on the local paper, Greg Haymes/aka Sarge Blotto of the band Blotto, confirmed this for me.
I'm glad that Tina's okay… 🙂
Good episode, Brian!
Herb Albert had five LP's on the Billbaord's chart with four in the Top 10.
Dude! Head over Heels is used in one of the greatest scenes from from Donnie Darko, forget Mad World, the tracking shot in the school is incredible
