He was one of the angry young men. He’s a brilliant rock musician who’s delved into jazz and classical as well, and he’s the man. He even says so. Joe Jackson, in covered form, tonight on Coverville!

Brian,
I love Coverville — especially when it teaches this 45-year old something. All this time I thought "Got The Time" was an Antrhax original. I never would have guess that to be a Joe Jackson song.
Thanks!
I have introduced my hubby to Coverville, the first was the WDIB: Steely Dan – which is one of his absolute favourite bands. Two days ago while we where cleaning the house to some Joe Jackson he turns to me and says "why can't that Coverville-bloke do an episode on Joe Jackson": And what do I find when I load up iTunes this morning! Good Timing Brian!! 😀
Too bad Jonathan Coulton's "Kenesaw Mountain Landis" doesn't fit the cover format; it has an awesome reference to (this) Joe Jackson toward the end.
Thanks for the Joe Jackson episode, as a longtime fan I really enjoyed it. I know what you mean about the live shows – somewhere I have an old cassette of a concert taped off the radio with an incredibly unique and entertaining version of Sunday Papers with a "storytelling" lead in, I need to try to find it and digitize it somehow.
The botched (or changed) lyric in the Perfect Thyroid cover was a little irritating particularly since it was a lyric that is in fact the song title ("time (time) doubletime" instead of "time (time) got the time"…what?).
