Lemar does a great version of the Darkness’ I belive in a thing called love. It’s the last track on his Time to Grow album.
Heya!
Great show, I like it. I should mention though that show #83 was hard to listen to. The levels were a bit out of whack. I had to turn it up to hear you and then when a tune started I had to turn it down quickly because it would blow my ears out.
Sorry about the levels. I think I was talking a little softer because of my recent cold.
Loved the Scorpions cover! I could listen to those all day! Great show Brian!
Ah, the Northern Pikes. They certainly were beneficiaries of Canada’s Canadian content regulations. Nonetheless, I really dug them in high school. Their biggest hit was something of a novelty song called “She Ain’t Pretty”. I covered, incidentally, in my high school band called “Hey, That’s Not Your Goat”.
My favourite NP song is “World’s Away”, which is a duet with the lovely Margo Timmons of the Cowboy Junkies.
