Great show. All killer, no filler. And I would have enjoyed it better if you had actually done a 3 hour long Smiths cover story.
For the record, I would have loved it if Amy Winehouse had covered “Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now” before she died. It would have been epic.
Fantastic, especially loved the 8 bit cover and Angie Hart cover (amazed that has not been picked up for a TV advert somewhere).
Here’s a suggestion. At Thanksgiving we get the Beatles, can we designate Easter time to be The Smiths?
The reason there are so many cover albums of their songs is that the songs are THAT good they lend themselves to a multitude of styles. Best songwriters since the Beatles.

So glad you pulled in the Blue Flame Combo song. I didn’t think that band was on anyone’s radar and when I heard the podcast start I said to myself, wouldn’t it be great to have the BFC “Ask” cover in the set? Magic!
