OK, slight correction in tonight’s show. In talking about the song Pipeline, I miscredited it to the Bar-Kays, instead of the actual group that recorded it, the Chantays… The Bar-Kays did Soul Finger, which I’ll make my Uncovered Gem of the Week on Sunday as repentance. Back to the Tuesday night hodgepodge…Here’s what’s on the show tonight:
Title | Artist | Original Artist |
Ballad of El Goodo | the BosweLLs | Big Star |
What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace, Love and Understanding | American Ambulance) | Nick Lowe/Brinsley Schwartz (see episode #3) |
Milkshake | Chance | Kelis |
Milkshake | Buddy | Kelis |
I Ran | The Original Onions | Flock of Seagulls (with a little bit of The Chantays) |
I Can’t Dance | Gnemesis | Genesis |

I love your show and listen to it on a regular basis.
I have a comment about iPodderX, since they’re one of your sponsors. I’ve never been able to get it to actually download a podcast (tried 2 versions of it now, no luck). And if you check their user forum, you’ll see dozens of similar comments from users.
They don’t have a Help file that comes with their product, but it sounds like you use it and perhaps know how to subscribe/download podcasts with it?
If so I think a lot of listeners (and iPodderX users) would benefit from hearing a simple step-by-step on your show, just to get started with it, since all of its other features look pretty cool.
Oh look Ukulele’s maybe you wil do something from
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
at some point?
or How about abandoning real instruments and playing something from Pianosaurus?
I love the show and listen to it regularly. But I wanted to write in and say how much I enjoyed the Original Onions. An awesome band. Thanks, Brian.
