Results of last week’s battle: Who did it better? Georgia Satellites or Field Music?
Back from a month of Beatles and a weekend of DragonCon, we’re here with a new Who Did It Better, pitting two versions of “papa Was A Rolling Stone” against one another. The song is most often attributed to The Temptations, but was first recorded by The Undisputed Truth in 1971. In any case, it’s a great song, and with last Friday being the 3rd of September, I felt a little inspired. And though you may be tempted to put the Temptations in the “Other” field in your vote, let’s consider their version the undefeatable best cover of the song.

Mama, I’m depending on you, to tell me who did it better?

Weird. The total percentage of the 2 choices and “neither” is 74.07%; maybe “other” is just not showing up?
Well, I suppose my vote is a foregone conclusion. Bumping Don Was? Never in a million. Thanks Brian!
Andrew totally kicked butt in this one…very lush!
I like the “Undisputed Truth” version better
